This thing is everything I've ever wanted in a handheld and more. I have access to my entire steam library which I've been slowly building for almost 20 years now, so that's already enough gaming to last me literally years, and on top of that you can pretty easily add games from other services like GOG and Epic.

Through using the desktop mode I've even had a cheeky fiddle with some emulators and tried out some classic games going all the way back to PS1 and GBA games all the way up to recently released Switch games, some of which I got running really smoothly. I legally owned all of the games I was emulating, I swear...

And to top it all off, this screen... I promise you, the screen on the OLED is 100% worth the extra investment. To be fair I've never owned anything with an OLED screen before, but holy crap is this thing pretty... I have not played a single game, whether it's a modern AAA title, a GameBoy Advance rom, or a recent pixel-art indie gem where this screen has not absolutely blown my mind with its clarity, sharpness and contrast ratio. At this scale the 900p resolution has never been an issue either, the pixel density is 🤌.

To sum up, coming from someone who has always loved handhelds, I swear that as a grown adult this thing feels even more magical to me now than that Gameboy I got on my 11th birthday did when I first booted it up. Worth. Every. Penny.

Luna Display is the best thing that’s happened for Mac. I brought a M1 Macmini and a LG monitor. I was going to sell my old 2013 Imac but now thanks to Luna Display I can use my old Imac as a second screen. Win win for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend. Works seamlessly with Logitech keyboard and mouse.

The Steam deck has well exceeded my expectations. The screen reaches a high nit brightness, is OLED and can reach 90hz. The device is very comfortable to hold, and is not too bulky. I haven't had it for long enough to test battery life well, but it seems to be working well. My According to online sources it is a lot better than the original deck for battery life. The software support is great. I can’t wait to see what more this device offers as I get to know it.

Works as advertised - best with Ethernet cable - great to have the iMac 27" 5K display back.
