Limited Warranty Policy For Steam Deck

We understand the importance of providing you with a reliable and satisfying user experience. As part of our commitment, we offer a 1-year limited warranty on the Steam Deck, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.

1. Warranty Coverage
This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the Steam Deck for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

2. Warranty Exclusions
The limited warranty does not cover damages caused by:

a) Normal wear and tear;
b) Accidental damage, misuse, or abuse of the product;
c) Acts of nature, such as fire, water, or lightning;
d) Unauthorized modifications or repairs;
e) Failure to follow the product instructions or guidelines provided;
f) Use of incompatible accessories or software;
g) Negligence or improper handling during shipping or transportation.

3. Warranty Claim Procedure
To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

a) Contact our customer support team at support@groov.nz to request a return authorization and obtain instructions for returning the product.
b) Provide the original proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) and the product's serial number.
c) Package the Steam Deck securely, including all original contents, such as accessories, cables, and documentation.
d) Ensure that the package is properly packed to prevent any damage during shipping.

4. Return Shipping
The customer is responsible for shipping the product back to our designated service center. Please note that the product should be adequately insured and securely packed to avoid any further damage during transit. We recommend using a trackable shipping service for your protection.

5. Warranty Resolution
Upon receiving the returned product, our technical team will evaluate it to determine if the warranty claim is valid. If the defect is covered under the limited warranty and not excluded by the terms mentioned above, we will, at our discretion, either repair or replace the product. If a replacement is provided, it will be of equal or similar functionality and condition to the original product.

6. Additional Terms
a) This limited warranty is in addition to any rights provided by applicable consumer protection laws.
b) The warranty does not cover any consequential or incidental damages arising from the use or inability to use the product.
c) We reserve the right to update or modify this warranty policy at any time without prior notice.
